La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

LLL of Baton Rouge serves the local community through monthly meetings, telephone helping and mother-to-mother support. All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Meeting Information
- Evening Meeting: First Thursday of each month at the Bluebonnet Library on Bluebonnet (between Perkins and Highland Roads). Meetings are at 7 p.m.
- Morning Meeting: Second Tuesday of each month off Siegen Lane near I-10 at the St. George Church Youth House, a white frame house across the graveyard behind the church. Meetings are at 10 a.m.
- Toddler Meeting: Third Wednesday of each month at BREC's Jefferson Highway park. From Brentwood Drive, turn left onto Kensington Drive and turn left into the playground parking lot. In inclement weather, we meet inside the building. Meetings are at 10 a.m. Call Anne or Jackie at the numbers listed below for more information.

Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
